Mount Vernon, Wash. — Coming off a 3-0-0 start to the season last week, the Mount Vernon boys’ soccer team has been ranked No. 9 in Region V by the Spring Boys United Soccer Coaches High School Rankings released on April 20, 2021.
Mount Vernon’s 3-0-0 record was thanks to wins against Oak Harbor, Burlington-Edison, and Lynden Christian. The Bulldogs are one of two ranked WA state teams and are joined in the poll by No. 2 Richland.
Following a successful week and a half, Mount Vernon is now 8-0-0. The Bulldogs topped NWC powerhouse Squalicum on Monday, 4-2, handing the Storm its first loss, and cruised to an 11-0 win over Nooksack Valley on Tuesday evening.
